New music and inventory this week — Timecop1983, Smashing Pumpkins, Miles Smiles

Happy Friday, friends! I thought I'd try this email thing out, where I send you some music recommendations and highlight a couple of new items in the store.

What to listen to

This week one of my favorite synthwave bands, Timecop1983, put out a new album. Unfortunately this is not available in physical format yet, but you can purchase and download the digital copy on their Bandcamp site.

If you're new to the synthwave scene, the other two bands I highly recommend you check out is The Midnight (Nocturnal is my favorite), and Kalax.

What to buy

I added a couple things to the store this week that might interest a few of you. Remember, you always get 10% off the Discogs price by buying direct. Just reply to this email and let me know what you'd like to buy!

The Smashing Pumpkins ‎– The Aeroplane Flies High

This 7-disc box is a beast. It includes:

  • All of the Mellon Collie B-sides remastered for the first time
  • Newly discovered live recordings from the legendary 1995 shows at The Double Door, Chicago
  • Live recordings from the 1996 Mellon Collie world tour
  • The entire July 4, 1997 performance from Belfort, France on DVD edited and mixed specifically for this release
  • The Gravity demos and more

That's over 7 hours of music on 6 CDs and 1 DVD. If you're interested, let me know.

Miles Davis Quintet ‎– Miles Smiles (MoFi)

The 45rpm Mobile Fidelity pressing of Miles Smiles is completely out of print, but I managed to find another sealed copy. With the 10% discount you can get this one for $76.50.

Matthew Halsall ‎– On The Go

Sticking with the jazz theme for a bit, this 2012 album from UK trumpeter Matthew Halsall is one of my favorites. I have this in my collection as well, and spin it quite often. If you're not familiar with his work, it's worth checking out!

That'll do it for this week. Feel free to check out the inventory and let me know if you see anything you like. Have a great weekend!
